Fitness
The Spa overlooks over the Resort's main swimming pool, which is heated in winter. It is a major feature of the hotel, framed by two pink sandstone torches, and two exquisite domed Chattris which reflect themselves in the Jaipur blue-tiled waters, providing one with a very elegant way of keeping fit. The beautiful gardens around the pool allow one to reflect in peace, the occasional sighting of a peacock adding a little drama. For a little more action and a bit of friendly competition, the Resort has two perfect tennis courts which are floodlit, so that guests with a tricky tiebreak can go on playing after dark.

Swimming Pool, Raj Vilas, Jaipur Guests who like to go home toned will make good use of the fully-equipped gymnasium, while others who seek only a little diversion may prefer a round on the five-hole pitch and putt green. Those determined to exercise the mind instead will enjoy the Rajwada library, which offers a selection of beautiful coffee table books as well as classical literature and where you can also enjoy a quiet drink. Music and films are available to take back to your room from a selection at the Concierge.

The very best way to see the Rajasthan countryside is from the back of a horse. Riding can be arranged nearby. For a more traditional trek through the countryside, guests may also opt for a wonderful Elephant Safari which is followed by a picnic at the base of Naila fort.

All fifty-four deluxe rooms at The Oberoi Rajvilas are set around tranquil courtyards in a traditional Rajasthani setting. Each Deluxe room and villa features a regal teak four-poster bed and a sunken white Italian marble bathtub looking into its own private walled ornamental garden. As one might expect, every conceivable modern comfort is provided - private bar, satellite TV and CD and DVD player, direct dial telephone, data-port, the same day laundry and dry cleaning, 24 hour in-room dining and butler services ensure that every need is catered for.

Fourteen fully air-conditioned luxury tents all boast Burma teak floors, Edwardian-style claw foot bathtubs and simple but sumptuous embroidered interior canopies. Guests in the two One bedroom Pool Villas and the Royal Villa - which has two bedrooms and a private dining room - enjoy the privilege of their own private pool. The interiors in their simplicity, elegance and attention to detail, showcase all that is finest in modern and traditional Indian craftsmanship.
