Outdoor training Uttranchal. PTMC provides a meaningful platform to corporate seeking outbound training for their human resource. Working in tandem with the corporate training department, PTMC helps design training programs in the outdoors.

The training modules are designed through a creative use of the resources afforded by PTMC campsites and meet corporate training needs in a wide range of organizational culture and individual development related behavioral training.
(These are at times merged with environment and responsive tourism themes forming the content).

PTMC' s outdoor training supplements and reinforces indoor training. Therefore, it works best for training needs of organizations which have well defined training agendas and are willing to work together with our resource persons on identification of training areas where customized outdoor modules can be most effectively be dove-tailed into their on-going training activity.

Professional Tours Training Resources
We draw mainly upon our following resources for operationalizing our corporate training programs:

The setting of our camps provides both an exciting training environment and a context that lends itself readily to issue-based training modules. The camps are located amidst hills, trees, forest, birds, wildlife and lakes. The settings also demonstrate a number of problems and opportunities relating to environmental, developmental and tourism issues.

These issues could also form the thematic basis for some of our corporate training modules which are essentially along the lines of 'management games'. The local villagers, boatmen, stall owner, etc. play roles that add value, quality and fun to these exercises. Most such exercises are further enriched by a wealth of knowledge of the local flora, fauna and landscape.

The activity option that we offer
(including rock climbing, mountain bicycling, trekking and in Saat-Tal swimming and kayaking) are increasingly being accepted as potentially useful ways of alternative behavioral training. Rock climbing in uttranchal. Depending upon the interest and fitness of participants these are used as a basis for designing customized training exercises (depending on the client's wider training strategy) on team building, leadership, communication, etc., in conventional and not so conventional ways.

Our team can provide inputs and suggestions to aid the company's HRD team to best utilize and improvise these activities to arrive at a program suited to the human resource development needs of the organization.

Training for Team building
When several people come together to work on a single initiative, they are not necessarily a productive team. Before they can function well together, they must pass through a series of stages that have been characterized as forming, storming, and performing.

Teams that successfully reach and function at the final stage are an essential ingredient of corporate success. Their progression on this path is guided in large measure by wider human resource development and Personnel policies, but can be smoothened along by appropriate behavioral training.

Training Package on Team Building
PTMC's generic (un-customised) out-door training package on team-building is designed to sensitize participants to various issues of teamwork at different stages of a team's life-cycle as outlined above, Within the ambit of our broader corporate training principles of convergence between behavioral training goals and environmental and responsive tourism concerns, complementarity between indoor and outdoor training, and continuity in learning through reinforcing follow-up initiatives.

The objectives, structure, duration, content and method of the training package are outlined below.

Training objectives: What you can expect at the end of the training
Team building training Uttranchal From our training package on team building, you can expect the following:
  • a clear understanding of the nature, potentials and limitations of teamwork
  • basic skills for handling gremlins at the forming and storming stages (see details of learning points in the section on contents)
  • an orientation to skills needed at forming and performing stages (customization of the training package can provide more fine-tuned learning for these stages)
  • a friendly, facilitative and fun training environment (see details in the section on training methods)
  • an opportunity for reflection and corporate introspection for securing sustainability and continuity of learning (especially in the synthesizing module at the end)
Our Training package does not promise the following:
  • ready to go super teams at the end of the training
  • an outdoor training event that substitutes a holistic longer-team corporate training/team-building strategy
  • an all play and no learning break emphasizing the "outdoor" rather that the "training" in outdoor-training
Training structure: How your training time will be broadly organised
PTMC's team-building package consist of the following modules:

» Roles of individuals in teams (addressing issues relating to the forming stage onwards)
» Conflict management (addressing issues relating to the storming stage onwards)
» Setting norms for teamwork (addressing issues relating to the norming stage onwards)
» Optimising teamwork outputs (addressing issues relating to the performing stage)

Besides these, all our training packages include two other modules:
    Outdoor Training packages.
  • A familiarization and introduction module at the beginning (which is designed to introduce the participants not only to the concept and content of the particular training package but also to the potentials and limitations of outdoor training and to allow "settling in" time for familiarization with the training environment and choosing activities that they would be most comfortable with in training exercises), and
  • A synthesizing module at the end (which is designed to help participants on how best to maximize the worth of the training through re-enforcing follow-up activities, convergence with indoor training, etc).
  • The thematic modules start successively, but proceed simultaneously, with discussions in each linking back to issues covered in previous modules as well. The structure, therefore, looks somewhat as follows;
Training session: 1 2 3 4 5 6
  • FAMILIARISATION& INTRODUCTION
  • ROLES OF INDIVIDUALS IN TEAMS
  • CONFLICT MANAGEMENT
  • SETTING NORMS FOR TEAMWORK
  • OPTIMISING TEAM OUTPUTS
  • SYNTHESISING
Training duration: How can you optimize the length of the package vis-a-vis your objectives
The training package is quite flexible in terms of total duration. The un-customized thematic modules are designed to stretch over two days, including a short discussion-based synthesizing module at the end (see details in the section on contents).

We recommend a full day familiarization, introduction and setting in module at the beginning to allow sufficient time for not only getting acquainted with the particular outdoor training setting but also for making a selection from amongst the activities available for use in the training exercises.

The rest of the training duration can be expanded or contracted depending upon whether or not all modules are required in their full form or not and upon the level of customization that is built in through pre-training discussions.
